Senior Architect
You will lead design teams principally engaged in Architecture and high rise buildings . You will plan and implement the project start up and monitor performance through to completion. You will require to manage the inputs from other offices as required. Although the head office is in Al Ain the workload may be focused in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
Deliver the services to an agreed programme managing the Client's expectations, risks and opportunities as they arise and change. Develope and recognise new opportunities in conjunction with the Office Directors and deputise as necessary.
Reporting to the Client and to the Shankland Cox Commercial Management team on project performance. Be responsible for and managing the Project Commercially and be financially aware. Ensure Technical Quality through checking and verification by others. Operate within Best Practice processes to ensure a Quality Service.
Qualifications:
Essential - Degree in Architecture. 10 years plus of relevant experience
Desirable - Chartered (RIBA or equivalent held ) Exposure to a variety of projects including high rise buildings in Dubai
Experience:
Essential - Work in a Design and Construct Environment with (preferably) a Consultant
PM experience leading diverse teams and delivering to cost quality and time parameters. Successful candidates will show a strong ability to manage the design process rather than particular strengths in any technical discipline.
Desirable - Adaptable and open minded to the to the UAE culture and traditions.
Leader of Teams as well as a team player. Delivery focussed. Strong interpersonal skills (managing both the Client and other third parties as well as the Design Team) Commercial mindset. Risk and opportunity aware. Listener. Self motivated and able to drive a project through from conception to completion.
